yeah, we've both decent imagination i guess. no idea how the third kantele was named though. about time to find out.
indeed, we did use steel screws, breaking an expesive metal drill (not the whole machine, of course) of a friend in the process. although that kantele was the abovementioned one, i've no photos of it yet.
the other two have notches cut into their screws, which indeed makes them a pain in the arse to tune. it took me half an hour to re-tune a string once. i'm no musician of (any) merit though. so i'm set on having tuning pegs on the upcoming ten-stringer. probably won't be kantele pegs either though... otherwise they work reasonably well. i've had to re-tune only that one (the longest) string so far.
